Workshopinfo

Working in academia is intellectually rewarding, but it often comes with unique challenges: long timelines, deadlines, uncertain outcomes, high self-expectations, and pressures of academic culture. This interactive short workshop offers space to reflect on personal stressors, and to develop practical strategies for resilience.
Participants will:

  • Understand the mechanisms of stress and its impact
  • Reflect on typical stressors and how they show up in academic life
  • Explore resilience as a skillset and mindset that can be cultivated
  • Examine strategies for building sustainable routines and boundaries
  • Practice the power of peer support and shared experiences

This 3-hour session is designed to provide both immediate strategies and long-term perspectives for building sustainable academic resilience.
