Objectives

There is no one correct way to present - everybody has a unique style. The aim of this workshop is to help you develop a critical awareness of how you present, so that you can make informed decisions and optimize your personal style. This is a learning by doing workshop, so there are several opportunities to practice different presentation skills, and give a full presentation with feedback from the trainer and the group. If you like, you can be filmed and get a copy of the video to study at home.

Content
  • Gain more insight into your own presentation strengths and weaknesses
  • Give and receive feedback on your presentations
  • Build on and practice the English phrases of presentation
  • Identify the main design rules of effective slide presentations
  • Develop strategies for dealing with unexpected or difficult situations, e.g. losing track, answering questions, technical problems
  • Strengthen confidence and enjoy public speaking
