Objectives
The course will focus on opportunities for a career outside of academia, since not all scientific employees can or want to stay in this field. For this purpose, insights into the business and industry sector will be provided, but perspectives in the public sector and NGOs will also be considered. The focus is also on the requirements of typical career paths and the questions of how promising these are and what one typically has to do to achieve them. The personal wishes and strengths of the participants are included and space is provided for individual questions and discussions. This is intended to develop an idea of which paths are attractive to individual participants and how well they might fit them.
